Gail Rockburne is the President & Founder of U.S. based Global Sales Growth. Gail is a seasoned business development professional with over 20 years experience including living and working in the U.S. and abroad.
For the past 10 years, Gail has built a reputation as one of the best-connected professionals to Atlanta’s international community. She serves on the board of directors of the Japan American Society and on the board of advisors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Global Commerce Committee where she is active in the Metro Atlanta Resource Committee and chair of the Ambassador Sub-Committee.
Prior to establishing her consulting firm, she launched the international practice area of The McCart Group, a 39-year old privately held brokerage firm providing risk management consulting, insurance and benefits services. Other local assignments include: serving as the director of marketing for GlobalAtlanta, an electronic news service reporting on international business activities in Georgia.
Foreign postings in Canada and Mexico provided intimate understanding of different cultures, commercial practices and learning to navigate new business landscapes.
While living in Winnipeg, Canada, she founded a international marketing firm that developed promotional information for Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs similar to the U.S. State Department on “how to do business in the U.S. market” for small-to-medium sized companies. She advised over 50 women business owners about marketing their products and services internationally.
She also worked at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City where she worked with executives from The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC Bank), Bank of Montreal, SNC- Lavalin, McDonald’s Corporation, Bristol Myers and The Coca-Cola Company.
She holds a Masters degree from the University of Rochester and undergraduate degrees from Syracuse University and Rochester Institute of Technology.
